The greatest challenge humanity is facing: this is how artificial intelligence is perceived. But beyond the mighty corporations that are growing it, beyond the algorithms and robots, beyond socio-political dystopias… lies a very human mystery.
“Wider than the Sky” delves into the territory of this mystery with the weapons of science, poetry and art. It is an investigation that spans the entire world, in search of an answer that reveals what makes us human, what can save us from a destructive path and help us building a better future.

Poster design for both the international and Italian releases of Wider Than the Sky, a documentary about artificial intelligence directed by Valerio Jalongo.
The poster draws inspiration from Gustave Doré's engraving for Inferno, Canto XXIX, created between 1861 and 1868 for his iconic illustrated edition of Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy. The engraving appears in the film, and its presence became the starting point for the poster concept. By recontextualizing this image, the design extends the film's visual language while reinforcing its central themes of violence and damnation.
