Naming and Packaging Design
Manifesto is born from the resistant Johanniter grape variety (a PIWI variety, capable of adapting and thriving while drastically reducing environmental impact). It is the result of research that weaves together sustainability, adaptation, and vision. A modern orange wine, made from grapes capable of adapting to the climate and soil of the Marche region, expressing a new possibility for the future of viticulture.

The packaging breaks conventions with coherence and authenticity, balancing nature and design. The Oroshi bottle, part of Estal’s Wildly Crafted Wines collection, is made from 100% post-consumer recycled glass, with an organic texture that makes each bottle unique. No capsule, no label: just a direct screen print on the glass, like a statement of intent, enriched with handwritten-style signs and words that convey a rebellious yet rooted identity. The combination of screen printing and the bottle’s organic texture makes each one unique and unrepeatable.
Current regulations do not allow the labeling of grape varieties that have not yet been officially recognized in production regulations. For this reason, the name of the grape was initially written and then “manually” crossed out: an absence that becomes a presence, reinforcing the independent spirit of the project.
The only paper element on the bottle is a neck label made from recycled FSC® paper, minimized to reduce environmental impact. The Nomacorc Ocean closure is made from recycled ocean-bound plastic waste, turning a global problem into part of the solution.
Manifesto is a “different” kind of project—one that aims to establish a new way of producing and thinking about wine.
